MY YOGA
I have practiced yoga for over 20 years now, It has been a constant in my adult life. Initially, I turned to yoga to manage stress and anxiety, but it quickly became a source of profound transformation and personal growth. This sparked a light in me that I wanted to share with others, so I trained as a yoga teacher & yoga therapist in 2015. I ran Seomra Shakti Yoga Studio in Mullingar for 8 years before I moved to the coast and started teaching yoga in to Arklow.

I am an Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Yin trained teacher. My practice and trainings have taken me around the world including a month long trip to India to study at the KPJAY Institute in Mysore, the home and heart of Ashtanga Yoga. I have been fortunate to study with some of the best yoga teachers in the world who have greatly influenced my teaching style & methods. I was blessed to practice several times under the guidance of the late Sharath Jois, the head of the Ashtanga Yoga Lineage.
I teach because I’m passionate about the transformative power of yoga and its benefits for our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. In sickness & in health, my yoga practice has always been there, often changing but always accessible. For that reason, I believe yoga is for everybody and every body, so my classes include props and modifications for all abilities. I teach breath-centred, challenging and creative sequences that are a delicate balance between strengthening and letting go.
Yoga is an antidote to our noisy, fast paced world where we are digitally connected 24/7. It gives us an opportunity to slow down and unplug, to ground, reconnect with our true essence and just be….

The Goldilocks of yoga classes, not too challenging, not too easy, slow & stretchy is just right for everyone. With modifications given for less experienced ,or physically restricted students and verbal cues for more advanced practitioners, this all levels style is a good choice for new students or those returning to a yoga practice after a period of absence. The flowing sequences work the entire body to lengthen muscles and build strength and endurance. Each class is themed towards working body areas prone to tightness and discomfort., such as hips, hamstrings and shoulders making it a great choice for runners and cyclists or anyone looking for a good stretch. Towards the end of class we slow things down and hold poses for longer periods to increase flexibility and mobility before taking rest for a guided progressive muscle relaxation to promote recovery.
